This is something that's seemed to suddenly pick up quite a bit, but I've seen quite a lot of posts recently which seem to not be understanding the Chat section vs. the contributions section.
Example:
Loosely related, I've seen a massive uptick in synthetically generated content being contributed to the dataset. I personally think this could be stopped quite a bit if there was more specific, obvious "DO NOT USE CHATGPT OR OTHER LLMS IN RESPONSES".
For both of these issues, the underlying problem is a bit of ambiguity for exactly how to use the frontend when someone first logs in. I think the Messages vs Chat icons are incredibly similar, and there isn't enough FYI on the webpage to explain exactly what's going on.
I think that we should change the frontend so that it's much more direct in these manners.
