There are no ghidra-specific docs about it. That's a generic feature of git. What type of ghidra-specific things were you hoping to find?

gradle wrapper (from the project) did not work. installed "native" gradle-8.12.

I did git bisect between Ghidra_11.1.2_build and Ghidra_11.2_build:

• gradle wrapper (from ghidra) pulls gradle-8.8 that bails with 'unknown file format 67'. Switched to "native" installation of gradle-8.12.
• some time there was not yajsw-stable-13.09.zip on sourceforge.net site. Cured somehow.
• The most recent python version was 3.12. Installer from python.org bailed with 'python312.dll was not found'. The real cure is gradle buildGhidra -x buildPyPackage
