Find balance/transactions from an xpub

In the blockchain.info data query api you can supply an xpub to
https://blockchain.info/multiaddr?active=$address and it can return the balance of the address and a list of transactions. There seems to be no function to do anything similar with xpub's in the Java api. It would be nice to be able to find out about the balance/addresses/transactions from an xpub like you can with a regular Address
