According to the Education Act :
7 Parental duty
(1) This section applies in relation to a child who is at least 6 years old and less than 14 years old.
(2) It is the duty of the child’s parents to ensure that the child attends a kindergarten and school.
but according to Barriers to Education :
It is not a legal requirement for Vanuatu’s youth to attend school, and there are no legal penalties to not enrol or attend school.
