new templates possible ?

I want to add some new template (as new.html or chapter.html) in my thème, but it is not considered when passing the pelican command (make html).

Is it possible and what should I do ?

Adding new templates is certainly possible, but there is not enough information in your query to provide any useful assistance. Please explain in much more detail (1) exactly what you are trying to accomplish and (2) what have you already tried (again, in detail).

Sory for installation process I made a few weeks ago with some difficulties, do not remenber the command resolved them.

I use octopress theme, that I adapt as Xoctopress (X as Xavier ;-) )

I want to order the articles in my own way, using a new Markdown's metadata as chapitre: 2-3-1-Titre de niveau3. So i havee to built a new template.

I make a template chapitres.html in my theme folder and lanched make html. The exact command is

I Do not understand the warning. The file /home/xavier/Documents/Ecrire/Publications/histoires2collectifs/content/Mes intentions.md realy exist with rights rw-rw-r-- as others in the directory ... But, one problem at a time ...

For now I look for /home/xavier/Documents/Ecrire/Publications/histoires2collectifs/output/chapitres.html witch is not generated.

Maybe my template is wrong, in theme directory I try copying index. html them tags.html (that both work) to chapitres.html but /output/chapitres.html is still not generated.

I Check I work in the right theme directory : changing something in index.html has the wished consequences.

Stille looking for infomations, I read https://docs.getpelican.com/en/3.0/fr/themes.html (yes, in french for me, so I realy understand) and I see a liste of files to build in theme's directory. If this is a limitative list, then new ones are not considered by pelican.
That's why I asked if it is possible to add a new template ... Anything is possible in FOSS, but mabe it is a bit more complicated that I should hope ...

For the moment, I hope I give enought details ;-)

Some more tests ...
I renamed the template archives.html (that workks well) to archives1.html and then tested my new template as archives.html.
Then, lanching pelican and visit the both adresses ...
http://127.0.0.1:8000/archives.html gives me something from my template (I have to improve it but it works) and
http://127.0.0.1:8000/archives1.html does not give anything. No archives1.html in output directory.

It seems to me that somes templates are allowed to be present, and pelican will interpret them ; but others files in theme's directory are not considered.

Is my understanding wright ?
Is it possible to prepare pelican to interpret others templates I shoud setup ?
