bug: Scrollbar not stylable

Ionic Framework Version

v8.x

Current Behavior

I can't style the scrollbar when trying this:

  background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);
  border-radius: 10px; 
}

::-webkit-scrollbar {
  width: 12px;
  background-color: transparent; 
}

::-webkit-scrollbar-thumb {
  border: 1px solid rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);
  background-clip: padding-box;
  border-radius: 3em;
  background-color: rgba(0, 124, 182, 0.69) 
}

::-webkit-scrollbar-corner {
  background-color: transparent;
}

And I've also looked at previous threads concerning this and the profferred solution was to check this codepen implementation, but it's no longer working.

Expected Behavior

I expect it to style the scrollbar.

Steps to Reproduce

Just attempt to change the style of the scrollbar on an ionic application
