How to pass credentials to run the AML pipeline?

Currently I run into issues when following the scripts/readme.md to prepare the data.
After successfully creating the job/pipeline, all my jobs fail already when trying to use the secret client to retrieve a secret.

DefaultAzureCredential failed to retrieve a token from the included credentials.
Attempted credentials:
	EnvironmentCredential: EnvironmentCredential authentication unavailable. Environment variables are not fully configured.

	ManagedIdentityCredential: Unexpected content type "text/plain; charset=utf-8"

I cannot find anything in the docs how to set/pass credentials to run the pipeline. Of course azd is logged in.
