Switch to github actions

Drone CI is very dead nowadays, after it was acquired it seems to have degraded to the point where it doesn't work.

We need to port to github actions.

Are you okay with using goreleaser for this?

Perhaps, what are the advantages over the simple bash script I have now?

Don't think there'll be any advantage over the script. Just that you'll be moving over to managing by configuration rather than running every step.

ok sounds good, I'll accept a PR if you'd like to do it. I see quite a lot of projects are doing it. So long as we retain the ability to bake in the version metadata etc.
